Born: September 6, 1901, Bexhill on Sea, Sussex, England.
Bayly was educated at London University (BA) and Mansfield College, Oxford. Beginning in the late 1920’s, he served at four Congregational churches in Northumberland, Lancashire and East Yorkshire; in 1962, he became pastor in Thaxted, Essex. He wrote several pageants on mission themes, and librettos for cantatas by W. L. Lloyd Webber. His other works include:
