Dachstein, a monk in Stras­bourg, served as or­gan­ist in the ca­thed­ral there. He em­braced the Re­for­ma­tion in 1524, mov­ing to St. Thom­as’ Church. His works in­clude:

• Teutsch Kirch­en­ampt mit lobi­gseng­en, with Matt­häus Grei­ter (Stras­bourg: 1525)
