Son of Ja­kob Fisch­er, Christ­oph ma­tric­u­lat­ed at the Un­i­ver­si­ty of Wit­ten­berg in No­vem­ber 1540 (MA 1544). He was or­dained in Wit­ten­berg Feb­ru­a­ry 10, 1544, and served as pas­tor and probst at Jüter­bogk, near Wit­ten­berg. In 1552, he be­came ca­thed­ral preach­er and su­per­in­ten­dent at Schmal­kal­den, in 1571 pas­tor and gen­er­al su­per­in­ten­dent at Celle, and in 1577 chief pas­tor of St. Mar­tin’s church in Hal­ber­stadt. He re­turned to Celle in 1583 as gen­er­al su­per­in­ten­dent of Lüne­burg. His works in­clude:
