Frost played the or­gan at St. James’, Chel­ten­ham; Ho­ly Trin­i­ty, West­bu­ry-on-Trym; Ho­ly Trin­i­ty, West­on-su­per-Mare (1869); Ho­ly Trin­i­ty, Lee (1873); St. Ma­ry’s, Hag­gers­ton (1876); Christ Church, New­gate Street (1880); and St. Pe­ter’s, Brock­ley (1884). In 1880 he be­came a pro­fess­or at the Guild­hall School of Mu­sic.
