Fullerton came to Christ af­ter hear­ing Charles Spur­geon preach. He be­came a well re­spect­ed Bap­tist preach­er him­self, Home Sec­re­ta­ry of the Bap­tist Miss­ion­a­ry So­ci­e­ty, and Pre­si­dent of the Bap­tist Un­ion. He was a reg­u­lar and pop­u­lar speak­er at Kes­wick.
