Gohl played the or­gan at the Pine Street Meth­od­ist Church in Will­iams­port, Penn­syl­van­ia from 1903 to 1955. She al­so gave pri­vate mu­sic les­sons and taught at the Will­iams­port Dick­in­son Sem­in­a­ry (now Ly­com­ing Coll­ege) be­fore join­ing the mu­sic de­part­ment of the D. S. An­drus Com­pa­ny, re­tir­ing in 1968.
