Died: May 28, 1864, Bos­ton, Mass­a­chu­setts.

Born into the Dur­en fam­i­ly, Nathaniel took the sur­name Gould to qual­i­fy for an in­her­i­tance from an un­cle. He lived in Bos­ton, Mass­a­chu­setts, and taught sing­ing and pen­man­ship in the New Eng­land states. His works in­clude:
