Hall studied at Em­man­u­el Col­lege, Cam­bridge, and af­ter taki­ng Hol­y Or­ders, served at Haws­tead, Suf­folk; as Cur­ate of of Wal­tham-Ho­ly-Cross, Es­sex; Pre­bend of Wil­len­hall in the col­le­gi­ate church of Wol­ve­rhamp­ton; Dean of Wor­ce­ster, and Bi­shop of Ex­e­ter (1629).
