The 1900 cen­sus shows Ing­ler as a “vo­cal­ist” liv­ing in Den­ver, Co­lo­ra­do. The 1920 cen­sus shows him as a Naz­a­rene preach­er in Till­a­mook, Or­e­gon. Af­ter the death of his wife Amal­ia, he moved east and marr­ied Lu­ra Hor­ton, who at the time was pas­tor of the Peo­ple’s Church of the Na­za­rene in Pro­vi­dence, Rhode Is­land. The two of them served joint pas­tor­ates in Fitch­burg, Mass­a­chu­setts; Jack­man, Maine; North At­tle­bo­ro, Mass­a­chu­setts; New Ha­ven, Con­nec­ti­cut; and, in 1931, at Em­man­u­el Church, Paw­tucket, Rhode Is­land.
