Jameson pas­tored in In­di­an­a­po­lis through­out his ca­reer. He start­ed out near Ma­di­son, and as an itin­er­ant served the Man­ville Christ­ian Church in Mil­ton Town­ship, Jef­fer­son Coun­ty. He is said to have been a writ­er or ed­it­or for a Di­sci­ples of Christ news­let­ter or news­pa­per be­fore 1850, and he served as a chap­lain in the Amer­i­can ci­vil war.
