Son of a Lon­don trades­man, Jud­kin was ed­u­cat­ed at Cai­us Coll­ege, Cam­bridge (BA 1815, MA 1815), main­ly at the ex­pense of Sir Wil­liam Cur­tis, an al­der­man of the Ci­ty of Lon­don. Af­ter tak­ing Ho­ly Or­ders in 1816, he held var­i­ous cur­a­cies, and in 1828 be­came min­is­ter of Som­ers Cha­pel, St. Pan­cras, Lon­don. His works in­clude:
