Killinghall be­came pas­tor of the con­gre­ga­tion at Bec­cles, Suf­folk, Eng­land, Oc­to­ber 13, 1697. Through some in­dis­cre­tion in con­duct, he re­tired from the min­is­try for a time. Then, around 1702, he be­came pas­tor of the Con­gre­ga­tion­al Church South­wark, then meet­ing in Dead­man’s Place (the Church of the Pil­grim Fa­thers).
