He was Pre­cen­tor of Rad­ley Coll­ege; or­gan­ist at Christ Church Ca­thed­ral, Ox­ford (1909-26); Chor­a­gus of the Un­i­ver­si­ty, Ox­ford; pro­fess­or of the or­gan at the Roy­al Coll­ege of Mu­sic (1919); and or­gan­ist at Eton Coll­ege.
