Died: November 6, 1631, Gotha, Ger­ma­ny.

Son of Ni­co­laus Lin­de­mann, bur­gess at Go­tha, Jo­hann at­tend­ed the Gym­na­si­um in Go­tha, and ap­par­ent­ly thereaf­ter stu­died and grad­u­at­ed M.A. at Je­na. He seems to have become can­tor at Go­tha around 1571, and re­tired from this post in 1631. , states that in 1634, he was a mem­ber of the new Coun­cil at Go­tha, though this con­flicts with his re­port­ed death year of 1631. Lin­de­mann’s works in­clude:
