Luard-Selby served as or­gan­ist at Ro­ches­ter Ca­thed­ral (1900-16). He com­posed most­ly or­gan mu­sic, but al­so wrote three so­na­tas, ser­vice music, large-scale cham­ber mu­sic, two op­er­as and three can­ta­tas.
