Died: No­vem­ber 15, 1964, Tor­ring­ton, Con­nec­ti­cut.

Mason grad­u­at­ed from Syr­a­cuse Un­i­ver­si­ty in 1911. He went on to serve as or­gan­ist at Au­burn The­o­log­ic­al Sem­in­ary (1916-1939), in­struct­or of mu­sic (1917-1935), and as­sist­ant pro­fess­or of fine arts and re­li­gion (1935-1939). While at Au­burn, he did grad­u­ate work at Bos­ton Un­i­ver­si­ty (1924-1926), and played the or­gan at the First Pres­by­ter­i­an Church. He lat­er served as or­gan­ist at the Se­cond Pres­by­ter­i­an Church of Au­burn for 27 years.
