Born: July 12, 1811, Mixbury rectory, Oxfordshire, England.
Died: April 5, 1879.
Son of W. J. Palmer, Rector of Mixbury, William obtained his BA degree from Magdalen College, Oxford, and eventually became Fellow, Tutor, and Vice-President there. He converted to Roman Catholicism in 1855. His works include:
