Pattinson’s fam­i­ly moved to Brad­ford, York­shire, Eng­land, when she was a child. In 1881, she was a school mis­tress in Man­ning­ham, York­shire. As of 1906, she was in­volved in ed­u­ca­tion­al work in Brad­ford. She wrote her hymns most­ly for Sun­day School an­ni­ver­sar­ies and other oc­ca­sions con­nect­ed with the Coll­ege Cha­pel (Con­gre­ga­tion­al) in Brad­ford. Her works in­clude:
