Daughter of Ad­mir­al King of Aug­ley, Bri­tain, Ca­ther­ine mar­ried Will­iam Pen­ne­fa­ther in 1847. She helped found the Mild­may Con­fer­ence in north Lon­don, and al­so or­ga­nized the Dea­con­ess So­ci­e­ty.
