Piggott attended Highfield College, Huddersfield, and Headingley Wesleyan College. He pastored at the Brotherhood Church in Harrow Road, London (1896-1900); Greville Place, Kilburn (1901-1904); Bunyan Meeting, Bedford (1905-1915); Whitefield’s Tabernacle, Tottenham Court Road, London (1912-1916); and Streatham (1917-1937). From 1931-1932, he chaired the Congregational Union of England and Wales.
