Piggott at­tend­ed High­field Coll­ege, Hud­ders­field, and Head­ing­ley Wes­ley­an Coll­ege. He pas­tored at the Bro­the­rhood Church in Har­row Road, Lon­don (1896-1900); Gre­ville Place, Kil­burn (1901-1904); Bun­yan Meet­ing, Bed­ford (1905-1915); White­field’s Tab­er­na­cle, Tot­ten­ham Court Road, Lon­don (1912-1916); and Streat­ham (1917-1937). From 1931-1932, he chaired the Con­gre­ga­tion­al Union of Eng­land and Wales.
