Buried: Rose Hill Cem­e­tery, Fred­er­icks­burg, Io­wa.

As a young man, Pitts taught school in rur­al Rock Coun­ty, Wis­con­sin. He lat­er be­came a doc­tor, and prac­ticed in Fred­er­icks­burg, Io­wa, for over 40 years.
