Died: March 2, 1883, Hald­en, Nor­way.

A well known mu­si­cian and com­pos­er in Ger­ma­ny, Reiss­ig­er moved to Nor­way at 31 years of age, and be­came a or­ches­tra con­duct­or in Krist­i­ania (Os­lo). He al­so found­ed choirs and a sing­ing school.
