Died: June 1698, Ox­ford, Eng­land.

Rogers be­gan as a chor­is­ter at St. George’s Cha­pel, Wind­sor, and went on to be­come an or­gan­ist and com­poser. He be­gan play­ing the or­gan at Christ Church Ca­thed­ral in Dub­lin, Ire­land, in 1638, but re­turned to Wind­sor three years lat­er. He al­so held po­si­tions as or­gan­ist at Eton (1660-1664), lay clerk at St. George’s (1662), and or­gan­ist and in­for­ma­tor chor­is­tar­um at Mag­da­len Coll­ege, Ox­ford (1664-1686).
