Sanders ev­i­dent­ly em­ig­rat­ed from Bri­tain to Amer­i­ca, and pas­tored in Potts­ville. In the ear­ly days of the Prim­i­tive Meth­od­ist move­ment, he worked with H. Bourne com­pil­ing hymn­als for the use of that group. His works in­clude:
