Son of John Crossley Seymour, Vicar of Cahirelly, diocese of Cashel, Seymour spent much time in literary pursuits from an early age. He edited a new edition of Dr. Gillies’ Life of Whitefield, and wrote a “Memoir,” which was prefixed to the Reliques of Ancient Irish Poetry, by Miss Charlotte Brooke, 1816. Seymour lived for some time in Naples, Italy (circa 1839-1847), then at Bristol, England. His other works include:
