Died: Weimar, Germany; buried April 11, 1704.
Strattner served as Kapellmeister at the court of Baden-Durlach, at the Barfusserkirche in Frankfurt-am-Main, and in 1694 became vice-Kapellmeister in Weimar. He is perhaps best remembered for compiling the fifth edition of Joachim Neander’s Collected Hymns in 1691.
