A Protestant Epis­co­pal min­is­ter, Webster grad­u­at­ed from Trin­i­ty Coll­ege, Con­nec­ti­cut, in 1880, and from the Berk­e­ley Di­vin­i­ty School, Mid­dle­town, Con­nec­ti­cut, in 1883. He com­posed sev­er­al mu­sic­al pieces, and served as head­mas­ter of the Hold­er­ness School in Ply­mouth, New Hamp­shire (1892-1922).
