White’s fa­ther was L. B. White, Vi­car of St. Mary Al­der­ma­ry. Mea­dows was or­dained an Ang­li­can priest in 1844, and served as Cur­ate of Cro­mer. In 1934, he be­came hon­o­ra­ry ca­non of Nor­wich Ca­thed­ral. He was a gift­ed or­gan­ist and gave fre­quent re­ci­tals.
