Wiberg was ed­u­cat­ed at Moo­dy Bi­ble In­sti­tute, Chi­ca­go, Il­li­nois; North Park Coll­ege, Chi­ca­go; Will­iam Jew­ell Coll­ege, Li­ber­ty, Mis­sou­ri; North Park The­o­lo­gic­al Sem­in­a­ry; Yale Di­vin­i­ty School; Un­ion The­o­lo­gi­cal Sem­in­a­ry, Rich­mond, Vir­gin­ia; and the Un­i­ver­si­ty of Os­lo, Nor­way. Or­dained a Co­ve­nant min­is­ter in 1953, he served in Oak­land, Cal­i­for­nia; Had­dam Neck, Con­nec­ti­cut; Prince­ton, Il­li­nois; Youngs­town, Ohio; at North Park Co­ve­nant Church, Chi­ca­go, Il­li­nois; and at Sa­lem Co­ve­nant Church, New Bright­on, Min­ne­so­ta. He served on the Co­ve­nant Hymna­l Com­miss­ion (1967-73) and chaired the Com­miss­ion for the Re­vi­sion of the Book of Wor­ship (1973-80).
