Died: May 17, 1662, Weimar, Germany.

Wilhelm was ed­u­cat­ed at the Un­i­ver­si­ty of Je­na. Dur­ing the Thir­ty Years’ War, he was wounde­d twice, and be­came the pris­on­er of Count Jo­hann of Til­ly. He gained his free­dom in 1625, and was a sig­na­to­ry to the Peace of Prague in 1635.
