A Un­i­tar­i­an, Love mar­ried Dr. Fred­er­ick L. H. Will­is of Bos­ton, Mass­a­chu­setts, in 1858. For var­i­ous per­i­ods she ed­it­ed The Ban­ner of Light in Bos­ton, and Tif­fa­ny’s Month­ly Mag­a­zine. She lat­er lived for ma­ny years in Ro­ches­ter, New York; by 1907, she was liv­ing in Gle­no­ra, New York, on Sen­e­ca Lake.
