After em­i­grat­ing to Amer­i­ca, Zeun­er set­tled in Bos­ton, Mas­sa­chu­setts, in 1824. He played the or­gan for the Park Street Church there, for the Han­del and Hay­dn So­ci­e­ty (1830-1838), and served as the Society’s pres­i­dent (1838-1839). He moved to Phil­a­del­phia in 1839, where he was or­gan­ist at a num­ber of church­es. Zeun­er wrote a march for the lay­ing of the corn­ers­tone of the Bos­ton Ma­son­ic tem­ple (1830), and a or­a­tor­io, The Feast of Ta­ber­na­cles (1836). His other works in­clude:
